Job Description
- RF and Microwave design and development for space and military systems
- Frequency range from DC to 40 GHz
- Responsible for developing ultimate designs from specifications
- Capable of performing and optimizing RF chain analysis (linear and non- linear) using tools like Genesys, ADS or Ansoft
- Design complex assemblies using microstrip, stripline, surface- mount components, chip- and- wire hybrids. Assemblies are compact to minimize size and weight and, when required, are designed for hermetic seal
- RF and Microwave Engineer will direct the mechanical design of the assemblies and internal layouts under development. He/ She will interface with the Design Department, Program Management and Manufacturing
- Design of planar filters for channelized microstrip
- Presentation of salient parts of designs (layouts, assembly drawings, selected data) for PDR, CDR, and other reports as required by the Customer. Support technical interactions with the customer
- Must have working familiarity with typical measurements and typical lab instrumentation like spectrum analyzers, vector and scalar network analyzers, power meters, phase noise analyzers
- 10-15 years’ experience in hands-on RF and Microwave design
- Must have professional maturity that allows for independent work with minimal supervision, and project responsibility
- The Sr. RF and Microwave Engineer will report to a Director of Engineering or, depending on the project, the VP of Engineering
