Job Description

Primarily responsible for reviewing RFQ from current/prospect customers to produce quotes within
a timely manner.
Role qualifications:
• Must have previous purchasing/quoting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably
electronics manufacturing service.
• Must have experience with dealing electronic distributors related to PCBA material procurement.
• Experience dealing with a variety of electronic distributors (local, national, and international).
• Must have experience sourcing PCB from various vendors (including international vendors).
• Must be comfortable contacting customers/prospects for additional information as applicable.
• Must be comfortable working with other internal departments to advice on labor and material cost.
Education:
• Minimum of BS/BA degree with at least 4 years purchasing/quotation experience in manufacturing
environment or 8+ years of contract manufacturing sales/procurement/quoting experience
Essential Job Duties:
• Review RFQ for required information to produce a proper quote.
• May need to source new/alternative electronic distributors/PCB vendors with mindfulness of
availability/lead time/pricing/authenticity.
• May need to source/interact with international vendors in different timezones.
• May need to interact with prospect/current customers or vendors for more/clarify information.
• Interact with internal departments (Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, etc.).
• Coordinate all required information for preparation of quotes.
• Participate in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement.
• Provide timely feedback to Sales or Management team regarding potential delays in quotes or other
factors that affect the quoting process.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Interaction with out-of-state facility/remote team.

Essential skills and experience:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills by phone, e-mail, in-person.
• Working knowledge of electrical component market and general understanding of manufacturing
process.
• Ability to read technical prints and bill of materials.
• Requires resolve to follow through until satisfactory resolution is made.
• Time management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn to utilize new ERP systems.
• Ability to gather and analyze information.
• Ability to work under pressure .
• May be required to host meetings on-site or remotely (Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, Microsoft
Teams etc.)
• Commitment to company values.
• Customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 preferred.
Physical demands and work environment:
• Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, employee is required to walk, sit, use
computer, use phone, and interact with vendors and employees. Sitting most shift with computer
and phone use. May be needed to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Work environment: while performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to office
conversations and company radio. Open office floor plan.
