Job Description

This position implements and performs quality inspections on products both within and at the end of the manufacturing process. This includes recording, tracking, and reporting the results of the inspections and helping to implement corrective actions. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs inspections on products, both Manufactured and Repaired, to ensure quality levels are maintained. • Keeps accurate and up-to-date records and data sheets on in-process and end-of-line inspection failures. • Performs First Article Inspections on Products. • Reports results in a clear format on a regular basis. • Assists in identifying root cause and corrective actions and co-owns implementation of Corrective Actions. • Other duties as assigned WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced. Because of the nature of the product being produced, high voltage and current conditions exist and appropriate precautions must be observed. QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing. • Capability to respond quickly and professionally to changing requirements in priority • Ability to interpret quality standards, specifications, & drawings and apply them when evaluating product. • Ability to interpret procedures and determine if non-conformities exist. • PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. EXPERIENCE: • 3-5 years of experience inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies including at least 1 • Knowledge & experience with IPC-610-A (or equivalent) and ISO processes • Experience in a high mix/low volume, pull-based manufacturing environment. • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices. • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Excel preferred EDUCATION: • High School Diploma or GED. • ASQ, CMI, or CQA certifications desired.
