Job Description

Overview

The Magnetics QA Engineer will support Quality Assurance functions for all Quality deliverables associated with customer orders with focus on orders in support of the Space market. The QA Engineer will also maintain Quality procedures, generate, review and approve associated Engineering Change Notices. They will also maintain Quality records.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions: 

    • Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. 
    • Support coordination of completion of all key Quality Actions and Deliverables for customer orders. This includes:
      • Preparation of qualification reports with coordination of all lab activities such as;
        • Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) Testing.
        • Shock & Vibration Testing.
      • Prepare and review all End Item Data package deliverables.
      • Verify that correct materials are used in kits and for rework.
      • Coordination of Source Inspection activities.
    • Generate Failure Analysis Reports (FAR).
    • Support Quality Engineering actions to maintain all Quality Certifications and to ensure compliance to all key markets served by the Magnetics Business Unit (Space, Military & Aerospace).

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Skill in data entry with minimal errors.
  • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports.

 

Educational / Experience Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred along with a minimum of 5 years of related Quality Assurance Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of quality, military, and industry standards is desired.
  • Any combination of education, training and experience listed above that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
