Job Description

Primarily responsible for inspecting printed circuit assemblies, cables, box build units and/or materials for
adherence to statutory/regulatory requirements, customer specifications and company policy and procedures.
May be required to operate AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) Machine and/or X-Ray. May be required to
perform soldering of electronic components to circuit boards (touch-up and rework).
General Purpose:
Acceptance and rejection of product to customer requirements before leaving facility.
Perform back-up for AOI, X-Ray Operator, rework soldering, and touch-up soldering.
Role qualifications:
• Must be able to inspect PCA, box build units and/or materials to IPC 610/J-STD workmanship
• Must be able to inspect cables to the IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship criteria
• Must be able to solder to J-STD001 Class II & III
• Must be able to perform rework soldering of PCB assemblies
• Must be able to operate inspection machine (AOI, X-RAY)
• Must be able to read and interpret industry standards, engineering drawings and specifications
• Must have good computer and math skills
Education:
• Minimum two (2) years of related electronic inspection experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of soldering of small electronic components
• Previous rework soldering experience
Position responsibilities:
• Review inspection reports to ensure all inspection process have been fulfilled
• Reviews engineering documents for any special requirements
• May prepare First Article reports for assemblies that are first time builds
• May operate AOI and/or X-Ray machine as needed
• May perform touch up and/or rework soldering as needed

• Accurately enter inspection data into computerized process
• Work closely with QA Manager to resolve quality concerns
• Participate in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement
• Ensures work area is kept clean and safety rules are followed
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
Essential skills and experience:
• Excellent oral/written interpersonal and communication skills
• Requires resolve to follow through until satisfactory resolution is made
• Ability to work with and without magnification aids (microscope, mantis, loupe etc.)
• Ability to inspect to IPC-610/IPC-620/J-STD workmanship criteria
• Ability to perform rework soldering and solder to J-STD001
• Ability to operate AOI and X-Ray machinery
• Ability to determine critical points of inspection
• Ability to follow work instructions
• Ability to follow direction from management
• Ability to work well independently and within a team
• Ability to gather and analyze information
• Ability to learn through shadowing and following documented procedures
• Commitment to company values
• Basic computer proficiency: ability to learn and use ERP system
• Regular attendance
Nonessential skills and experience:
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485
