Job Description

Primarily responsible for overall quality of the company both internal and external to include industry
certifications, statutory, and regulatory requirements relating to products and report top management on
business practices. The Quality Manager will supervise receiving, in-process, final inspectors and internal auditors.
Role qualifications:
• Three or more years experience in:
– Electronics contract manufacturing
– Quality Management Systems
– Internal and/or External Auditing
– PCB, PCA, Box Build and Cable Inspection
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485
• IPC 610/620, J-STD-001 certification
Education:
• Minimum of BS/BA degree with at least 3 years quality assurance and 1 year of management experience
or 10 years of quality assurance with minimum 5 years in management
Position responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective Quality Management System (QMS) that complies to
business needs, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards
• Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes that affect the quality of the
company’s products
• Oversee inspection of incoming materials, in-process material/product, and final product prior to delivery to ensure requirements are met
• Interface with all level of employees on all quality related matters to include customer complaints and
return material (RMA)
• Lead all employees through training to understand and implement business, customer, and industry requirements with an emphasis on quality first
• Interface with customers and external parties such as registrars and regulatory agencies
• Review and analyze collected data for management review on set company objectives
• Participate in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Essential skills and experience:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills by phone, e-mail, in-person
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain statutory and regulatory requirements to all level of employees
• Write, implement, and train to policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards
• Oversee day-to-day business activities on the production floor in regards to workmanship quality
• Define and implement company policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards
• Thorough understanding and performance in industry auditing practices both internally and externally
• Ability to read and interpret component datasheets, electronic assembly drawings, and industry workmanship and quality management system standards
• Ability to determine critical inspection points
• Ability to determine type of inspections to be performed such as 100%, sampling, or reduced sampling
• Time management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency: Word and Excel
• Ability to learn through shadowing and following documented procedures
• Commitment to company values
• Basic computer proficiency: ability to learn and use ERP system
• Regular attendance
Nonessential skills and experience:
• Customer service experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical demands and work environment:
• Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, employee is required to walk, sit, stand, use
computer, use phone, and interact with employees and non-employees. May be needed to lift up to 10
pounds. Looking through eye loop, mantis microscope, and halo. May be required to travel for training
and/or facility visits.
• Work environment: while performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to office conversations and company radio. Open office floor plan. Minimal travel may be needed from time to time including customer facility visits.
