Job Description

Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of product and program management. Manages large, complex product lines and programs of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.

Essential Functions:

· Directs all phases of product line management and programs from inception through completion.

· Drives program/production execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs and products.

· Manage complex subcontracts with other L3Harris divisions and strategic partners.

· Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or product lines.

· Develop and direct the Integrated Product Team. Understand the role and function of each team member, and through expert communication and leadership skills, establish a common understanding among team members on scope, schedule and financial objectives.

· Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM) and drawing package releases.

· Acts as primary contact with the customer and responsible for customer satisfaction.

· Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.

· Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.

· Acts as primary customer contact for program and product activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

· Works with Engineering to develop design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.

· Expands the product line with the customer.

· Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies product and program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.

· Must deliver and communicate the committed business case and provide senior management within the organization with the necessary information for managing the business via formal IPT and Internal Program Reviews (IPR).

· Plan, formulate and maintain the product and program plan, schedule and budget

· Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas

· Control expenditures within the limitations of the project budget and regularly report on project budget to actual performance via the EAC process.

· Actively participate in growth of the business by identifying and developing approaches to new business opportunities with new and/or current customers.

· Responsible for partnering with Business Development and management to develop long-term strategic plans to increase and maximize business opportunities with current and new customers.

· Provide leadership and mentoring to lesser-experienced PMs on processes and best practices and assist in development of career progression plans for these individuals.

· Initiate formalization of Product and Program Management processes and procedures that promote both organizational efficiency and agility.

· Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

· May have in-depth knowledge of project management.

· Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.

· Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience preferred.
