Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Operations Manager this position will supervise, organize, oversee production assembly, element process and machining in accordance with company’s policies and applicable laws. This person is responsible for the effective and successful supervision of labor, productivity, and production quality.

Responsibilities include participating in interviewing, selection and hiring; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; authoring and discussing with employee’s performance appraisals; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans, employee motivation and rewards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees

· Communicate job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions

· Manage processes for equipment utilization, material flow and shipping

· Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes

· Supervise staff levels and hours per company policy

· Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints

· Delegate work based on incoming orders

· Participate in the resolution of RMAs with the responsibility for product quality and corrective actions

· Organize annual employee training per ISO standards

· Maintain the integrity of production output and workflow and communicate status to management and subordinates on priorities, attaining promise dates and percent completion

Technical Responsibilities:

· Develop solid technical understanding of products and processes

· Work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement

Desirable Qualifications:

· BS Engineering with 5+ years of experience in an AS9100/ISO9001 production environment

· Experience leading a team of hourly employees in a manufacturing/machining environment

· Lean Certification or hands on lean experience

· Hands-on, high-energy individual

Physical Demands:

· Required to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs. on a regular basis
