Job Description

  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills to support infrastructure-related systems and networks throughout the multi-site organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with others, communicating to your supervisor, and interfacing with clients
    Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to infrastructure.
  • Act as escalation point for helpdesk team.
  • Ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational policies and standards.
  • Monitor daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
  • Prioritizes problems based on severity, urgency and impact to the business; tracks all outstanding incidents until successful resolution.
  • Works with enterprise support groups and outside vendors to resolve problems or issues.
  • Coordinates through the change management process to move, install, upgrade, remove and configure site IT assets and supporting infrastructure.
  • Maintains the asset management system (additions/changes/deletions) for accurate tracking of all IT assets within the site(s).
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
  • This position requires support of and travel to remote sites.

Job Skills

  • At least 5 years-experience supporting Windows servers and networks.
  • Microsoft and Cisco certificates preferred not required.
  • Experience with hypervisor technology especially VMware.
  • Experience with Sonic Wall NSA series firewalls.
  • Experience working in manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Bachelor degree in related field, Information Science Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
