Job Description

Responsible for ensuring compliance of all parts, materials and processes with requirements for various government and commercial aerospace and other programs. This position is a cross functional role dealing with Prime contractors, Vendors and internal employees. Component Engineering/Sales Engineering is a plus

·Electronic Parts and components experience required Mil Spec’s 38534 and 883

· Prepares technical solicitations for procurement

· Provides support to purchasing to help resolve vendors’ technical questions

· Generates parts, materials, and process qualification plans

· Generates non-standard material and process documentation and approval requests

· Supports cost-estimating with Basis of Estimate for programs and proposals

· Materials and Processes for Military and Aerospace projects

· Supports program activities related to materials and processes requirements

· Creates materials and processes lists for programs

· Knowledge of the space environment (e.g., outgassing and radiation requirements)

· Knowledge of printed circuit materials

· Knowledge of metallurgy specifications

· Identifies and qualifies vendors for all programs and prepares technical     documentation for procurement

· Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers

· Minimum of a B.S.E.E

· Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
