Job Description

Responsible for the development of all manufacturing, planning, and shipping programs subject to the approval of the applicable executive(s). Supervises the managers and/or supervisors responsible for the work of the Machine Shop, SMT, Production, Planning, Shipping/Receiving and Maintenance Departments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Directs the overall coordination of the assembly function.

2. Inform applicable executive(s) regarding conditions.

3. Manages and coordinates the function of the machine shop to fit program needs.

4. Advises the applicable executive(s) as to technical progress in the field, industry trends and legislation that affect production, planning, and shipping.

5. Reviews the job performance of personnel reporting to this position and makes recommendations regarding retention, promotions, transfers, reclassifications, and salary increases.

6. Analyzes cost effectiveness of all programs.

7. Responsible for budgeting and resource planning.

8. Develops and implements policies in accordance with company goals.

9. Maintains all a positive work by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others, including supervisors, co-workers, clients, and vendors.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Masters preferred.

• 10 years’ experience required. • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing methods in test, assembly, and fabrication required for electronic

hardware. • Familiarity and experience with RF & microwave frequency products, subassemblies, modules, and printed

circuit boards. • Experience in wire bonding and working with chip and wire processes required.

• Familiar with a cleanroom environment • Problem solver familiar with root cause analysis and project management. • Excellent communications skills, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency, CostPoint strongly preferred
