Job Description
Management, technically and administratively, of a department of three PCB designers, 2-3 mechanical
designers, 3 documentation clerks
Mechanical design from concept to final drawings in Inventor, Autocad
Actual design in PADS from engineering schematics, review and approval of layout of PCBs (surface mount, and conventional through-hole). Designs per IPC standards
Responsible for control of Documentation Configuration. Review and disposition ECOs
5-10 years similar experience
Knowledge of Inventor, Autocad, PADS and general MS Office
Hands on experience in designing mechanical chassis’, housings and other mechanical parts used in
packaging electronics for military and space
Full knowledge of mechanical drawings conventions standards
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning
Working knowledge of tolerance analysis
IPC CID or CID+ certification preferred
Thorough knowledge of design for efficient and economic NC machining
