Job Description

Customer Service is the primary point of contact for all day to day inquiries and activities between the Customers.  He/She will own the customer deliverable executing actions that often involve cross functional teams.  The ideal candidate will possess, among other skills, the ability to multitask, meet aggressive deadlines, manage time effectively and identify areas for improvement. This position provides the voice of the customer to Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Shipping.

Sales administration involves the coordination in all quoting and proposal activity , order review coordination , order entry , order acknowledgement /exceptions.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Responsible for day to day interaction with Customers in a high pressure environment
    • Maintains and improves relationships with clients by providing support, information, and punctual responses to customer requests regarding orders, shipments, RMAs and invoicing
    • Interfaces with customer web portals and participates in production meetings
    • Work with Inside Sales to manage Customer Scorecard results
    • Support Cross Functional process improvement teams
    • Support internal and external metrics
    • PO to Customer Acknowledgment
    • On time RMA completion
    • On Time Delivery 95% goal
    • Screens and closes Returned Material Memos (RMM) balancing debits accordingly
    • Assists accounts receivable in recovering past due invoices
    • Assists with data mining and reporting general customer account information
    • Coordinate with the internal department to find solutions and resolve matters
  • Sales Administration
    • Input and manage Customer orders while obtaining approvals from functional departments for accurate and reliable delivery dates, quality flow downs etc.
    • Track & coordinate submittal of all Customer proposals and quotations
    • Coordinate outside material and services quotations in support of proposal
    • Support Business development and Sales in proposal activity

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Highly accurate data entry skills with Attention to Details
  • Proficiency in administrative and documentation procedures
  • A commitment to total customer satisfaction is required.
  • Related experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools and Infor/Syteline ERP system a plus.
