Job Description

Responsible for performing a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations which include skilled hand work. Work is semi-routine in nature, following detailed established processes and procedures. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and wiring on assembly units.

Essential Functions:

· Reads and interprets assembly drawings, parts lists, operation sheets, manufacturing procedures and visual aids.

· Assembles various mechanical devices using drawings, work instructions, blueprints or schematics.

· Perform and document completed work via a traveler. Ensures correct specification and function criteria are met per the manufacturing instructions. Presents objective evidence to Quality Control that tasks were completed to all specifications.

· Mechanical assembly and testing to blueprints and ATP’s.

· Performs testing on hydraulic and pneumatic test stands.

· Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; meets commitments.

· Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

· Ability to use hand tools; such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, nut-drivers, power drivers, soldering iron or crimping device, etc

· Performs visual and dimensional inspections for in-process assemblies and finished products

· Dexterity to handle small parts.

· Familiar with IPC-620 standards a plus

· Follows industry standards in best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.

· Perform other duties as required or assigned.

· Must possess excellent analytical, organizational and communicational skills.

· Ability to function under minimal supervision.

· This position may require sitting for long periods of time.

Education Required:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Required:

· Minimum 3-5 years of electro mechanical assembly experience.

· Experience in the Aerospace industry.

· JST-001 certification a plus
