Job Description

This key position is responsible for assembling electronic components to specifications while meeting production schedules, performance and quality standards. This position requires reliability, task flexibility and the ability to follow instructions. 

Job Description: 

  • Utilize bill of material, written or verbal instructions to assemble or re-work x-ray source components and high voltage generators 
  • Work from schematics or assembly drawings to modify subassemblies, as required 
  • Performs miscellaneous duties that include assisting other areas of production and quality assurance 
  • Prepare completed products for shipment 
  • Follow all VJX and OSHA workplace safety requirements and policies 
  • Safety Sensitive Position 

Essential Skills: 

  • High School Diploma 
  • General understanding of electronic assembly procedures 
  • Understanding of ESD practices 
  • Ability to read and work from electrical prints 
  • Proficiency in circuit boards and soldering 
  • Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment 
  • Minimum two (2) years manufacturing or assembly experience 
  • Ability to work as part of a team 
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 
  • Will need to successfully pass a personal background check and drug screenings 

Non-Essential Skills: 

  • Minimum two (2) years of full-time experience with proven reliability, preferably in a technical, manufacturing or research and development environment 
  • Experience in safe work environments and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations 
  • Prior experience soldering through-hole and SMT components 
  • Ability to use a multi-meter to test and troubleshoot AC/DC circuits 

 

  • Regularly required to sit walk, bend, stoop and stand within an industrial environment 
  • Will need to repeatedly use hands & fingers to operate basic office equipment and operate hand and power tools standard to a production environment 
  • Responsibilities could require lifting, moving, staging, and placing of materials up to 50 pounds alone and heavier with assistance 
  • May be required to effectively communicate in person, on the phone and via email and other electronic devices on a continual and repetitive basis 
  • Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus 
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
