Job Description
- Use predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
- Uses various measuring devices.
- Accept, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
- Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.
- Perform mechanical measurements, using various measuring instruments GD&T methodology.
- Inspect electronic and/or hybrid components of complex electrical assemblies and systems.
- Review reworked and repaired items for acceptance.
- Determine effectiveness of corrective actions for nonconforming materials.
- Describe nonconformance situations and assist in the cause and resolution.
- Understand drawings and drawing notes.
- Perform Receiving Inspection, In-process Inspection, and Final Inspection functions.
- Assist lower and higher levels of inspection personnel.
- Communicates fluently in English
- Performs tasks in a manufacturing environment withstanding repetitive contact with water and moisture.
- Tasks include bending stooping, reaching and lifting up to 40 lbs. respectively.
Job Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years of experience inspecting electronic units, subsystems, electromechanical and mechanical units; reading and writing blueprints and performing basic mathematical operations; using measuring devices, performing mechanical measurements.
- Computer Skills and CAD preferred.
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
