Job Description

  • Perform in-process and final inspection and test of completed components and subassemblies and to fabricate test fixtures and prototypes as necessary.
  • Component level electronics experience required.
  • Perform receiving, in-process and final inspection on parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies, and complete required documentation.
  • Perform prototype inspections.
  • Design and fabricate jig and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics.
  • Perform wiring, electrical and electronic assembly inspection, and Tool and Gauge inspection.
  • Perform final inspection on completed units and systems manufactured by the company.
  • Component Level Electronics Experience
  • Experience using Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Power Supplies, Test Fixtures and Signal Generators.
  • Inspect for manufacturing or non-manufacturing defects with regard to material returned from the field.
  • Trouble shoot nonconforming products to the detail of pin pointing the failed component(s).
  • Stop production or shipment of goods, materials, and/or entire units if quality is not to standard and notify the supervisor immediately.
  • Complete check lists, tags and data sheets as necessary to accurately maintain records of tests performed.
  • Maintain history card and non-conformance report files.
  • Write Test Procedures, Data reports and other technical documents.
  • The ability to solder to acceptable workmanship standards.
  • The ability wire, and generate prototype hardware.
  • Perform periodic calibration of test equipment and maintain detailed records of calibration

Job Skills

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training, preferable in an ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 regulated manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the related field.
  • Ability to speak, read, analyze, and interpret, in English, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints; use inspection gauges and precision instruments; make set-ups; recognize visual defects and reject the same; familiar with inspection procedure; good mechanical aptitude; knowledge of electricity and circuitry; follow instructions as set forth in drawings, manufacturing routings, documentation check sheets and procedures.
  • Able to use: micrometer, calipers, depth gauges, height gauges, surface plate, ring and plug thread gauges, protractors, scales, various inspection fixtures, pressure chambers, chemical material analysis kit, electrical test equipment.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
