Job Description
• Responsible for independently leading a site’s reliability program to enhance the effectiveness of the maintenance organization through development and implementation of various reliability strategies and techniques.
• Analyze product failure data to determine proper corrective actions, such as deploy an engineering or preventative maintenance solution
• Train and coach company personnel in Root Cause and Reliability Analysis.
• Take ownership for ongoing corrective action tracking, implementation, and follow up to ensure that all Root Cause analysis projects are documented.
• Engage customer and supply chain personnel to achieve best life cycle cost of ownership
• Calculate MTBF product data
• Evaluate RMA data trends and communicate results to engineering and management
• Refine process and strategy to analyze and resolve failures
• Understand DFM design guidelines and component placement techniques
Job Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 5 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Expert knowledge of reliability principles
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Previous project management experience preferred
• Proficient in both written and verbal English
• Understand DFM rules and design guidelines including component ratings as a function of temperature, component placement techniques for better EMC/EMI, controlled impedance stacks, signal integrity, power/ground plane sizing and high voltage trace spacings.
• PCB design experience with tools including Cadence Allegro, Mentor Expedition, PADS Power PCB.
