Job Description
- Perform Engineering tests and Experiments and test of completed components and sub-assemblies and to fabricate test fixtures, prototypes and demo units as necessary. Essential duties, responsibilities or skill sets include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform prototype tests and design verification.
- Design and fabricate jig and fixtures.
- Perform wiring, electrical and electronic assembly inspection, and Tool and Gauge inspection.
- Inspect for manufacturing or non-manufacturing defects with regard to material returned from the field.
- Perform Temperature Tests
- Maintain history card and non-conformance report files.
- Write Test Procedures, Data reports and other technical documents.
- Solder to acceptable workmanship standards.
- Wire, and generate prototype hardware.
Job Skills
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training, preferable in an ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 regulated manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the related field.
- Ability to speak, read, analyze, and interpret, in English, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawing; use inspection gauges and precision instruments; make set-ups; recognize visual defects and reject the same
- Familiar with inspection procedure; good mechanical aptitude; knowledge of electricity and circuitry; follow instructions as set forth in drawings, manufacturing routings, documentation check sheets and procedures.
- Able to use standard laboratory power supplies, Oscilloscopes, meters electrical test equipment.
- Ability to solder to acceptable workmanship standards.
- Ability to wire, and generate prototype hardware.
- The Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
