Job Description
- Installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Performs carpentry in making building alterations, furniture repairs, etc.
- Installs, repairs and maintains flooring.
- Performs painting functions from prime to finish steps; must be capable of mixing colors.
- Performs other general maintenance duties such as masonry, snow removal and grounds maintenance, as required.
- Maintains all company areas in a clean and orderly condition. Sweeps, washes, waxes floors and aisles; polishes metalwork; dusts and cleans offices and machines.
- Checks and fills machines, lavatory fixtures, paper containers, and other fixtures as required.
- Assists in handling material and equipment. Arranges hand trucks, boxes, materials and other articles in a neat and orderly manner.
- Must be able to read prints, sketches and work from verbal instruction.
- Makes deliveries and picks up materials, etc., as required.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Maintains a positive work environment by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others, including supervisors, co-workers, clients, and vendors.
Job Skills
- Trade school classes in electrical systems, carpentry, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, painting and related areas preferred.
- Reading, writing and mathematical ability at high school level or above required.
- Valid, clean driver’s license and ability to drive truck, van, forklift, and related motor vehicles required.
- 1 year experience all phases of maintenance work required. Completion of above trade school course work may be substituted for experience requirement.
