Job Description
- Thorough knowledge of military and industrial specs and standards (ASME, Mil Spec, ISO, etc.).
- Thorough knowledge of model- based definition best practices.
- Experience with CAD systems (Creo preferred, AutoCAD, Catia, Solidworks, etc.)
- Experienced with PDM systems (Agile, Windchill, etc.).
- Expert level GD&T knowledge (ASME GD&T GDTP-1994 or GDTP-2009 Senior Level preferred).
- Expert in drawing standards and interpretations.
- Thorough knowledge of machine shop practices (machined parts, cast parts, molded parts or 3D printed parts).
- Experienced Design Lead, Supervisor or Manager is preferred.
Job Skills
- Generate, track and report metrics.
- Mentor less experienced Designers/Engineers in design and modeling methods.
- Generate and/or review tolerance stackups, based on design intent and function.
- SME experience.
- GD&T certification or formal GD&T training is a big plus.
- Higher level drawing verification experience.
- Electrical and mechanical drawing experience is a big plus.
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
