Job Description
• Develop tooling, jig & fixture, sample part templates, sub and major assembly fixtures, fiberglass, plaster/plastic tooling, tool improvement to enhance production assembly efficiencies.
• Ability to complete layout, fabricate and build all type of jib & fixtures involving compound angles and complex contours to establish and coordinate, to exacting tolerance of numerous tooling holes and reference points between several planes.
• Ability to read, interpret and work from tool designs, engineering drawings, T.O. specs and engineering specifications.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and work with close tolerance dimensions: knowledge of GD&T a plus but not required.
• Must be able to set up and operate Optical instruments to check/build overall and detailed alignment, fit or adjustment of assemblies.
• Must be able to perform basic shop math (trigonometry to solve right triangles)
• Must be willing to work any shift and available for overtime hours as required. OSHA approved safety shoes are required.”
Job Skills
• Minimum of 5 years of Tool & Die experience with proficiency in planning and building detail fabrication, and assembly tooling from engineering drawings or 3D models.
• Minimum 5 years of jig and fixture fabrication experience in an industrial environment.
• Minimum 3 years of Laser tracker experience required; specifically Leica laser.
• Minimum 3 years of Verisurf software experience.
• Associate’s degree.
