Job Description

• Broad range of experience to join our engineering team.
• As a member of the engineering team, you will work alongside test engineers and design engineers to create, verify, and validate test system software for Space and IR Products Business Units.
• Support the ongoing problem resolution and development of automated and semi-automated test systems for the space and military industries. This will entail working closely with design engineering to understand and optimize the testing requirements for production. Development and maintenance of LabVIEW and TestStand code will be a crucial aspect of this position.
• Conceive and develop flexible hardware and software test systems for application across a wide variety of new and existing products
• Develop test methods, software and hardware design, install software and develop automation in coordination with design engineering
• Interface closely with hardware design engineering as part of concurrent development to define and implement manufacturing test strategies
• Work with manufacturing and design engineers to identify and implement potential enhancements to existing test and measurement systems
• Initiate and drive the development and review of test processes, plans and procedures following the L-3 Communications Cincinnati Electronics test platform
• Execute tests against hardware and software requirement to verify and validate features, functionality and performance
• Document results and work closely with designers and others to analyze and debug issues
• Design, implement, and configure test beds supporting validation of company products
• Circuit debugging for both analog and digital designs

Job Skills

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical program plus 5+ years experience in software or test automation. BSEE or BSEET preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of digital and analog electronic circuits
• Experience verifying and validating test systems
• Extensive experience in LabVIEW software development
• Extensive experience in TestStand software development
• Highly analytical mindset with exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to develop and present many varied and unique ideas
• Experience interacting with teams to solve technical issues related to product testing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including exceptional teamwork skills
• Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, counters, DMMs, and PXI equipment
• Demonstrated expertise in test methodology and system-level test architecture development
• MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint proficiency
• Good technical writing skills
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
