Job: System Engineer

Performs research, analysis, design of telecommunication systems involving troposcatter, microwave, HF and VHF radios.
Generates system block diagrams, system interconnect drawings, wire-run lists and assembly drawings. Develop system integration and test plans.
Should have a strong interest in communications and RF technology.

Analyzes requirements, develops technical specifications and write documents for systems and products.
Develop integration plans and procedures for testing of products, equipment cabinets and communication shelters.
Performs system design, which includes systems performance analysis and design of systems to meet performance objectives.
Will be required to participate in the proposal process including costing and writing technical specifications
Generates system block diagrams, system interconnect drawings, wire-run lists, assembly drawings.
Works with mechanical engineers on packaging of cabinet mounted equipment, shelter mounted equipment, and design and deployment of antenna systems.
With project engineers, reviews data collected from manufacturing and applications sources to identify system performance improvements and product modifications to suit requirements.
Involved in other related projects as assigned by management.

Basic understanding of radio communications systems, microwave radio and antennas systems including:
Modems, data transmission standards and methods.
Satellite communications systems.
Microwave line-of-sight (LOS) systems.
Experience in generating test procedures and working with technical publications specialists to generate system manuals.
Familiarity with environmental requirements & packaging techniques for systems is a plus.
Must have or be able to obtain a passport and be available for business travel domestically and internationally.
