Job Description
• Builds printed wiring assemblies (PWA) using Automated Assembly Equipment (AAE). This includes, but is not limited to, the setup and operation of component placement equipment and solder paste deposition and re-flow equipment.
• Sets up and operates AAE. Employee is responsible for fault isolating and correcting minor equipment or fixture anomalies.
• Reports programming and extensive machine problems to Manufacturing Engineering and/or Assembly supervisor.
• Maintains records duplicating throughput and quality data.
• Complies with all safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Performs all duties in complete compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Maintains the security of classified and/or company proprietary information.
• Performs all duties as assigned or as judgment and necessity dictate.
Job Skills
• Basic Knowledge: High school graduate.
• A minimum of two years experience printed circuit assembly and operation of surface mount machinery. Knowledge and ability to solder.
• Working Conditions: Air conditioned environment. May require working second or third shift.
• Must be able to recognize apparent programming or machine problems.
• Must be schedule conscious in order to meet test schedules.
• Requires a working knowledge of surface mount machine equipment.
• Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
