Job Description
• As a member of the Launch Control System (LCS) development team, this individual will be responsible for conducting requirements analysis, design, implementation, and software testing.
• This position is a “hands on” software developer. The developer will work in a software development lifecycle as defined in the LCS Software Development Plan (SDP).
• Candidate will perform as a software engineer on a team developing a large scale Command and Control system for both launch and vehicle processing. Job duties include design, development, integration, testing and documentation of software components for customized Software Applications.
Job Skills
• Programming languages: C++ and/or Java experience. Other desirable languages: Ruby and PHP.
• Operating systems: Experience with AIX and Linux.
• Applications: Experience with RTI DDS Suite, Harris OS/COMET, HP OpenView desirable. Other experience includes AccuRev, ClearQuest, and RequsitePro.
• BS/BA in Computer Science or a Technical field preferred or experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired.
