Job Description
• Review processes to recommend capital investments that would improve throughput, material flow, quality and on-time delivery
• Promote and conduct Value Engineering programs aimed at cost reduction
• Apply “Lean” manufacturing principles in support of factory
• Address non-conformances, define root cause and suggest corrective action
• Labor and material cost estimating to support budgets
• Design, documentation, fabrication and building of production tooling and fixtures
• Coordinate the transfer of new product development into manufacturing
• Training of assembly employees on new processes and procedures
• Creating ECR’s to support required design and manufacturing process revisions and improvements
• Handling material dispositions and follow through accordingly
• Participate in product design review as required with Engineering Design Group
• Support all customer review meetings and requests as required
Job Skills
• Five years electronic manufacturing engineering experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline preferred; related technical Associate’s Degree
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and technical descriptions
• Familiarity with MRP systems
• Basic cost accounting skills
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in a highly technical environment
• Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
