Job Description
• Analyze material requirements to be procured for internal fabrication and assembly.
• May prepare releases to the machine shop and assembly lines authorizing work to proceed, indicating quantities, completion dates, and manufacturing sequence.
• Prepare purchase requisitions by calculating lead-time, floor scrap, and minimum ordering level and setup factors, to schedule parts required to support assembly schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering on blueprint releases, drawing clarification and engineering changes.
• Prepare critical “line” and program shortage reports and expedite procurement.
• May interface with data processing, perform data entry and otherwise assist in the maintenance of computerized recordkeeping systems relative to department operation.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Job Skills
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years related experience.
