Job Description
- Industrial detailed design experience.
- Experience with pipe supports, weldments, joints, etc.
- Develops AutoCAD drawings for proposals and projects using engineering details and company/client standards.
- Reviews and analyzes specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to create concept and detailed fabrication drawings.
- Drafts 2D drawings and 3D models for project proposals and contracts from supplied data.
- Utilizes engineering principles along with client and company standards to create each design and anticipate any conflicting issues.
- Interfaces with Engineering to layout/detail components and systems.
- Positions instructions and comments onto drawings.
- Coordinates with and consult others to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
- Modifies and revises designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems
- Maintains up to date working and technical knowledge of all procedural and improvement changes to AutoDESK and AutoCAD software.
Job Skills
- Process industrial equipment strongly desired.
- Ability to fully understand and follow highly complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to operate, access and maintain diverse software applications.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Mechanical and technical drafting skills.
- Two years AutoCAD/drafting in similar or related environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in design, engineering or science
- AutoCAD certification preferred
