Job Description
- Develop new test solutions, fixtures, hardware, software and supporting documentation for all products produced in the IO division.
- Additional duties include sustaining and obsolescence engineering for current programs and customer RMA investigations as needed.
- Develop and execute Design Verification Test plans for new products.
- Develop test fixtures and test tools for technician’s use.
- Test and troubleshoot complex processor-based embedded hardware and software of new designs.
- Assist Applications Engineers with troubleshooting customer system issues.
- Provide sustaining engineering support to operations group as needed for product support.
- Assemble circuit card assemblies and ruggedized chassis.
Job Skills
- B.S. minimum in Electrical Engineering discipline, M.S. preferred.
- Knowledge of C, C++, C#, DSP++ and VHDL programming.
- Working knowledge of DSP and FPGA fundamentals and programming.
- Proficient use of processor emulators.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience preferred in test and development of embedded hardware and systems.
- Proficient in the English language, both written and verbal.
- Read and edit circuit schematics and CAD drawings.
