Job Description
- Utilizing Creo Paramateric to create detailed design of gears and subassemblies related to gear boxes and motors.
- Ensure drawings and models are properly executed utilizing Creo Paramateric for model and drawing review.
- Assists in the control of engineering documents including engineer process release and engineering change notice
- Prepares and check drawings and detail parts to ANSI Y Standards
- Confers with engineering personnel and prepares design modifications and resolve problems, as required.
- Analyzes product and equipment specification and performance requirements to determine which designs can be produced using existing manufacturing processes and methods
- Maintain the appropriate records of all required engineering department activities.
- Create and maintain accurate bills of materials (B.O.M.).
Job Skills
- Associates Degree in Engineering or 7+ years mechanical design experience
- 7+ years of mechanical design experience
- 3+ Pro-Engineer experience
- 3+ years experience with machining for mechanical components and other manufacturing methods
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems requirements and AS 9100 requirements within the company; Experience with bearing configurations and types. Ex. Ball, Angular Contact, Needle etc.; Experience gear types (Spur, Bevel, Harmonic Drive, etc); Experience of MIL specification and ability to translate customer driven requirements into internal documents / procedures.
