Job Description

• Support the Supply Chain department with assigned product grouping with responsibility for establishing customer requirements and the associated revenue plan while developing an executable production schedule for that product group.
• Participate in cross functional projects, realizing process and cost improvements within company.
• Works closely with all functions of the Supply Chain as well as internal support functions (Finance, Sales, Operations, and Program Management etc.) to both implement and improve material flow and processes within company.
• Support, maintain, and ensure execution of the production schedule to enable production to meet the objectives of the site. These include on-time delivery, planned past due, and maximized use of manufacturing resources.
• Drive customer past due reduction efforts.
• Drive supply on time delivery.
• Support the Planner with initiating and maintaining Parts Masters and Bill of Materials.
• Help drive inventory strategy, analysis, metrics and performance.
• Own and maintain detailed production schedule.
• Support Supply Chain for change order management.
• Be involved in implementing new systems, procedures and work instructions, and special projects supporting manufacturing and customer service objectives.
• Support the Buyers is all aspects of the production schedule, this includes, past dues, supplier materials, work orders, inventory accuracy, wip accuracy, aged work orders etc.
• Expedite place orders
• Report on key materials goals including: inventory, planned past due, OTD etc.
• Participate in and Site SIOP activities.
• Develop and support continuous improvement efforts within the department.
• Support supplier Kanban/JIT planning and execution.
• Release PO’s, and manage supplier delivery schedules as needed to support Materials Team.
• Identify, develop and implement materials process improvements.
• Support natural work team goals and objectives while maintaining material processes and procedurals integrity.

Job Skills

• Supply Chain or Operation management field preferred.
• Green Belt, Black Belt or Lean certification a plus
• APICS certification preferred.
• 2+ years of Experience in materials and Supply Chain
• Understanding of overall materials flow and other functions linked to the Supply Chain
• Strong systems knowledge and proficiency. JDE experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of inventory management concepts.
• Solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data. Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.
