Plans, controls and directs the activities of a technical staff that is responsible for designing new Test equipment and fixtures; coordinating work with engineers to streamline the Test procedures in the transition of products from development to production; discussing layout and assembly procedures and problems with engineers. Investigating the cause of product failures. Develops charts, graphs and schematics to describe and illustrate system’s operating characteristics, and malfunctions. Provides estimates of Testing costs used in the development of specific proposals or as estimates of jobs currently under production. Participates with manufacturing management and control in the development of work plans.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 12 years related experience and/or training, with 3 years of managerial experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to review Test plans and procedures for feasibility and make recommendations for improvements.
