Job Description
- Communicates with Engineering regarding equipment validation requirements or vendor repairs. Ensures proper set-up of equipment for use and maintenance process in place.
- Monitors and evaluate performance of operators for training needs. Reviews quality output from SMT department from an operational stand-point. Must ensure proper functionality of equipment within department.
- Monitor and improve day-to-day activities on SMT lines.
- Interface with engineers to troubleshoot and repair equipment as required.
- Program and support SMT process equipment including DEK screen printer, Universal SMT Equipment, and Heller reflow oven
- Ensure assembled product meets IPC-610 workmanship criteria.
- Read, understand, and comply with ISO procedures and work instructions
Job Skills
- Experience with Universal equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of electronics quality standards (IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001).
- Extensive computer knowledge.
- Understanding SMTA operations and methods.
- Four years of experience with minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required.
- Two year Technical degree is desirable.
