Job Description
- Coordinates the effective movement of materials with purchasing, production, engineering, testing, and scheduling
- Performs planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through various production phases
- Reviews schedules to determine materials and parts requirement to ensure materials are available to schedules
- Confirms materials supply and demands, and prepares work orders
- Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and req. requests
- Prepares work orders/ purchase requisitions for the production or procurement of components or parts based on master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. Also prepares routings, pick list, and shop job packets
- Resolves problems concerning over shipments, shortages, engineering changes, and cancellations
- Will work as prime interface with Program Managers, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality departments to maintain the flow of material through the system
- Familiarity with high mix/ low volume manufacturing experience a plus
- Must have experience with inventory management techniques and principals
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Experience with MS Excel
- APICS Certification a plus
- Able to read blue prints
Job Skills
3-5 years Planning/MRP experience
Bachelors degree preferred
