Job Description
- Provide engineering with advice and support on all aspects of tool design and product development.
- Maintain Tool Design records database.
- Responsible for imitating purchase order requests for component parts and raw material.
- General experience in Pneumatic and electrical circuitry.
- Experience in computer aided design, i.e. Solid Works, AutoCAD, or Pro-E would be helpful.
- Must have hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assembly.
- Experience working from blueprints and sketches is a must.
- Excellent communication skills required both written and verbal.
- PC proficiency required (e-mail, MS Office,)
- Experience working in a union environment a plus.
Job Skills
- Must have Technical Trade School or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline preferred.
- Must be able to design and build complex tools, fixtures work cells, and test stations to support production productivity initiatives.
- Ten years’ total experience in a tool room with demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principals necessary to ensure the department is in compliance with company standards.
- Must have hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assembly.
- Excellent communication skills required both written and verbal.
- PC proficiency required (e-mail, MS Office,)
- Experience working in a union environment a plus.
- Need extensive exposure in all around conventional and CNC machining, Lathe and Mills, Drills and hand tools.
