Job Description
- Performs planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through various production phases.
- Implements planned production schedules.
- Reviews schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedules.
- Advises Production Specialist of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure materials, and services are provided as needed.
- Confirms material supply and demands; prepares work orders.
- Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.
- Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.
Job Skills
- High School / Secondary Education plus 8+ years experience.
- 2 years post secondary/AA-AS Degree plus 4+ years experience
- Strong working knowledge of MRP and standard shop floor control functions.
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
