Job Description
- Responsible for general direction, leadership and team performance of the Logistics Team including Shipping, Receiving, and Stock Room departments.
- Commercial, military and hazardous packaging both domestic and international.
- Oversee incoming shipments received at the receiving dock.
- Receive, check, identify and store materials.
- Oversee the Government Property located in the stocking area.
- Daily support in packaging and processing of shipments is required.
Job Skills
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in commercial and military packaging.
- Bachelors degree in business or materials management required.
- APICS Certification preferred.
- Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
- Must have advanced computer skills and be able to understand electronic processing.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
- Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprise principles and practices.
- Must possess excellent team building skills.
