Job Description
- Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining an effective Quality Assurance Management System
- Continuously review, document and maintain quality assurance procedures and monitor company quality and delivery performance.
- Supervise, train and develop staff for inspection of 1st piece parts, in-process and finished goods, as well as prepare inspection reports.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and Purchasing to produce quality products.
- Investigate and report on customer complaints to determine root cause, and implement effective corrective action.
- Transition the company’s ISO 9001:2008 quality management system to AS9100C.
- Analyze and document non-conformance issues to determine root cause, and implement effective corrective action.
- Conduct and coordinate both internal audits and on-site supplier quality audits.
Job Skills
- 5-8 years quality management experience, preferably in a defense or aerospace oriented manufacturing or machining environment.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C quality management systems.
- Experience conducting internal audits, as well as supplier audits.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Proficient business writing skills, including company reports, customer correspondence and procedures.
- MS Word and Excel required.
