Job Description

  • Ensures proper operation of machinery and other mechanical equipment through the adherence and completion of preventative maintenance.
  • Repairs/maintains machinery.
  • Maintains parts and supply inventories through cycle counts and records. Anticipates the need for parts and supplies. Replenishes spare parts and supplies orders as needed.
  • Manages 24/7 resolve to maintenance related issue in multiple facilities
  • Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short & long-term performance goals.
  • Develop and overseeing of the departmental budgets and capital
  • Ability to resolve and investigate sources of breakdowns/problems with machinery through troubleshooting (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, etc).
  • Effective organizing and scheduling of maintenance mechanics.
  • Recommends and schedules repairs to facility and facility equipment.
  • Develops to cost saving projects.
  • Key member of the team that oversees plant safety as well as food safety/quality programs (HAACP, GMP, etc…)

Job Skills

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, PM Software, PLC)
  • Previous Project management experience
  • Strong Electrical ability and technical understanding.
  • Ability to read drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Hands on Equipment Maintenance experience
  • Ability to train and lead
  • Ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus
  • High School/technical Diploma required
  • B.A. in technical capacity preferred or related work experience.
  • 3 – 5 years maintenance supervisory experience in a food processing manufacturing environment
