Job Description
- Develop executive aircraft interiors based on market, product and certification requirements in order to ensure adherence to quality as well as the overall program cost and schedule goals
- Ensure project related engineering data is in compliance with corporate policies and certification requirements
- Conducts performance reviews, recommends salary actions, rewards and recognizes employees and carries out disciplinary actions when necessary
Job Skills
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Current or past DER delegation is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 12 years of engineering experience. A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is preferred. Prior executive aviation interior background is required
- Must have structural engineering experience to support design, development, flight test and certification activities For Type Certificate (TC) and Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) on Transport Category Aircraft (Part 25)
- Must be a proven leader who can influence others, even those outside of Engineering. Must be able to develop and mentor a diverse staff
- Customer focused with good relationship building skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft interior, manufacturing, installation and certification
- Highly motivated and be comfortable working with limited oversight in a fast paced environment
- Proficient computer skills with use of Microsoft office applications.
- Proficient in CATIA is desired. Training will be provided if required
- Customer focused with good relationship building skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must possess good written and oral presentation skills and the ability to communicate ideas effectively to senior management.
- Effective time management and organizational skills; ability to become involved in a number of projects in a fast paced work environment.
- Portuguese or Spanish language skills a plus
