Job Description
• Strong background in RF communication, testing and troubleshooting at board, chassis, cabinet and system level.
• Knowledge of Communication equipment: HF; UHF/VHF; Microwave; Satellite; Networking
• Knowledge of computer hardware and applications.
• Good understanding of IP networks and IP addressing.
• Ability to write test procedures.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and/or testing of company products and adhering to established specifications.
• Understanding of RF communication testing, aligning and troubleshooting at bench (digital and analog circuits), cabinet, and systems levels.
• Experience testing modems, frequency converters, multiplexers, routers, switches and main distribution frames.
• Working with engineering to create test procedures, release description documents, wire run lists, manuals and other related documents to support the communication system project
• Experience using test equipment including the spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, communication analyzer, logic analyzer, signal generator, power meter and scopes.
• May participate in field tests and other travel duties both domestic and international.
Job Skills
• Minimum of five years related experience.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• An understanding of networking.
• Can work independently within the group with little or no direct supervision.
• Should have a strong interest in communications and RF technology.
• Work experience in the telecommunications industry
• Two year technical degree or equivalent military schooling; equivalent experience may be substituted for education requirement.
