Job Description
- Operates various company products and related equipment under test conditions following standard methods and procedures. Responsible for testing and troubleshooting of company products following standard methods and procedures and adhering to established specifications.
- Understanding of RF communication testing, aligning and troubleshooting at bench, cabinet, and systems level. Requirements include: knowledge of frequency converters, modems, multiplexers, routers, switches and main distribution frames.
- Ability to install, configure, operate and troubleshoot small to medium sized routed and switched networks. Good understanding of IP Networks and IP addressing. Ability to troubleshoot using basic commands such as PING and ARP.
- Working with Engineering to create test procedures, release description documents, wire run lists, manuals and other related documents to support the communication system project.
- Experience using test equipment including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, communication analyzers, logic analyzers, signal generators, power meters, scopes and other related test equipment.
- Responsible for developing, testing and evaluating materials and processes as required
- May participate in field tests and other travel duties both domestic and international.
Job Skills
- Minimum of Ten years related experience
- Experience troubleshooting microprocessor based PWBA’s
- Knowledge of computer hardware and applications, Microsoft Office
- Can work independently within the group with little supervision
- Should have a strong interest in communications and RF technology.
- Two year technical degree or equivalent military schooling; equivalent experience may be substituted for education requirement.
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
