Job Description

• Supervise and coordinate work of assigned employees including the appropriate management of time while prioritizing the manufacturing of parts and the utilization of equipment
• Drive on time delivery and commits in order to meet master schedule requirements
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures and drive adherence to policy and procedure with direct staff
• Facilitate on-the-job training and cross training through work assignments and use of mentoring to provide learning opportunities and maximum use of equipment
• Provide critical interface between business unit leaders, engineers, materials, quality control and assigned team members
• Maintain product quality and adhere to all quality standards established by both customer requirements and the internal quality system. Improve processes through the use of LEAN and six sigma concepts
• Promote positive employee relations, promote and demand a safe work environment
• Provide regular performance feedback to assigned employees
• Drive productivity improvements, lead continuous improvement activities and identify cost improvements
• Hire and develop team members that can effectively meet business goals and customer demands
• Communicate with leadership, planning, other production employees on a continuous basis on all matters that may impact productivity or on-time delivery including shift hand-off needs
• Assume other responsibilities as needed

Job Skills

• Minimum of (5) years of manufacturing supervision and leadership experience preferably within a CNC machining environment.
• Working knowledge of material resource planning systems
• Technical competence in problem solving the manufacture of aerospace components
• Ability to manage across multiple levels of the organization and lead efforts when needed
• Experience manufacturing parts to demanding quality requirements and specifications
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and 5S work environments
• Proven track record of delivering results and meeting production schedules
