Job Description
• Conducts analysis and prepares reports to ensure compliance with internal procedures and reporting requirements (SOX).
• Prepares and analyzes major financial projects.
• Leads the financial planning and analysis function by assisting in the preparation of the annual operating plan and updating the monthly forecast based on projected orders and sales forecasts.
• Assists with the preparation of monthly program review package.
• Monitors contract/program status to ensure compliance with government and customer requirements.
• Provides financial budgeting, monthly/quarterly review of actual expenditures and variance analysis for all Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and Bid and Proposal (B&P) work.
Job Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance.
• In depth knowledge of SOX and the associated reporting requirements.
• Experience in the defense/aerospace industry. Clear understanding of US Government requirements as stated in the Federal Acquisition Regulation for government flow downs from government prime contractors.
• 5+ years of broad financial reporting experience, including demonstrated experience with earned value, cost accounting and reporting, establishing/BOE, and metrics for assessing and reporting program/company financial progress/productivity.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications with an emphasis on advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
• Prior experience with Syspro, Deltek, Costpoint or equivalent ERP system desired.
