Job Description

• Work with a team of Software and Systems Engineers to develop software for sophisticated ballistic missiles as replicas of Scuds and other global missile defense threats in support of our DoD customers.
• Software systems span from real time missile control, launch, and telemetry data extraction tools.
• Involved in the full software development life cycle.
• Works with Systems Engineering to define and document requirements in DOORS
• Prepares Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), Software Design Documents (SDD), and prepares software detail design packages for peer reviews
• Defines Software Test procedures
• Implements and Test code (code/unit test, integration tests)
• Runs formal software test procedures and prepares proper software verification evidence
• Participates in peer reviews (requirements, design and code)
• Supports Systems Engineering during requirements verification efforts

Job Skills

• US citizen required
• Existing Secret Security Clearance a plus, or must be able to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor in Computer Sciences (preferred) or Computer Engineering with programming emphasis
• Recent C++ development experience (2yrs minimum)
• Thorough knowledge of Object-Oriented techniques and concepts required
• Real-time embedded programming experience with WindRiver VxWorks, Green Hills Integrity, TI BIOS or similar RTOS
• Thorough understanding of Operating Systems concepts and multi tasking applications
• Proficient with MS Office products including Visio
• Capable of using oscilloscopes, test equipment and probes with excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable with multiple Integrated Development Environments (i.e., MS Visual Studio, Eclipse, TI Code Composer, WindRiver Tornado 2.2.1 and Workbench)
• Must have the ability to work independently
• Must work within company defined procedures and policies (from dress code to coding standards)
• Comfortable operating at CMMI level 3 standards a plus
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends to meet critical schedule dates
