Job Description
- This position is for an experienced UX Specialist to evaluate, design and implement UX-focused solutions for EIT developed applications.
- Create user-friendly user interfaces for complex web applications and portals.
- Work with a cross-functional team using Agile methodologies for define user stories and necessary UX deliverables as part of sprint planning with the Scrum project team.
- Work with the Product Owner and Customer to extract features that will meet user needs and improve business results.
- Prepare UX documentation (navigational flows, wire frames, mock-ups, use cases, task flows, prototypes, etc.) to be used by the development team.
- Produce both low and high fidelity wireframes that match business and technical requirements.
- Perform UI validation:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative usability studies both on site and remotely
- Compile test statistics and reporting documents
- Conduct usability evaluation processes such as card sorting, creating personas, and focus groups
- Troubleshoot reported issues/problems
Job Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human Factors, Graphics Design, Multi-Media or related field
- 5-7 years’ experience in and strong understanding of User Centered Design processes and methodologies
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS
- UI Visual Design skills using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design tool
- Experience in usability testing using Morae
- Ability to create wireframes and prototypes using Balsamiq, Axure, or other prototyping tool
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Good understanding of software development methodologies and quality processes
- High energy; ability to manage in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication, written and verbal skills
- Team-player, quick learner, proactive, and positive attitude
- Preferred Additional Experience:
- Knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery
- Understanding of SharePoint customization a plus
