Job Description
- Design, code, and debug applications in various software languages including C, C++, VHDL, and Verilog for embedded systems.
- Responsible for the design, development, testing and deployment of software used in telecommunication equipment.
- Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements into software programs.
- Responsible for the analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of existing programs.
- Responsible for developing new programs and proofing the program to develop needed changes to assure quality product.
- Assist lower-level programmers with programming assignments.
- Maintain documentation and version control for software programs.
- Skilled in C, C++ and VHDL programming languages for embedded systems.
- Software development process experience.
- General embedded / microcontroller hardware knowledge.
- General systems engineering skills – software analysis, requirements analysis, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis.
Job Skills
- Altera FPGA design experience (desired).
- Familiarity with version control software (Git, Subversion).
- Linux kernel and device driver experience.
- TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Familiarity with HTML, javascript, and websockets.
- Software modeling and simulation.
- Software testing and quality assurance experience.
- Software documentation skills.
- Maintain standards compliance.
- Software automation testing.
- BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science, and at least 5 years of programming experience.
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
