Job Description

• Create new, and modify existing, Inspection Methods plans using Discus or other software.
• Inspection Plan will define drawing and specification requirements, methods of verification, and when inspected in Process Flow.
• Multiple Inspection Methods such as hand gaging, machine gaging, CMM, and other methods incorporated into Inspection Plan as required.
• Work with Engineering to assure all Customer Drawing and Specification requirements are met in the Manufacturing Process.
• Define critical Inspection Points in the Process Flow.
• Create First Article Inspection (FAI) packages based on various Customers requirements.
• Assure all forms are completed as required. Submit and/or present to Customer.
• Document Non-conformances in IT System and submit to Customer for disposition as necessary. Create detailed Non-conformance reports to assist in Customer Disposition as required.
• Perform shop audits and some AS9100 audits to assure compliance to Quality System
• If necessary, assist with product inspection: in-process or final.
• Complete training to become Customer(s) release agent.
• Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervision
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, with continual emphasis on promoting employee health and safety and using proper safety techniques.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Any other duties as assigned by Supervision

Job Skills

• Minimum High School Diploma
• Working knowledge of a variety of Measurement Equipment
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Methods and Procedures
• Interpret Engineering Drawings and Specifications from a variety of Customers
• Good oral and written English skills required.
• Must have proficient computer skills in MS Software Suite.
• Mechanical aptitude desired
• 5+ years Quality Control or Manufacturing experience desired
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills required.
