Job Description
- Performs inspection of printed circuit boards as directed by Manager of Quality Assurance. Reviews
- Customer Documentation to ensure compliance to Customer requirements.
- Prepares First article reports for assemblies that are First time Builds. Reviews inspection reports to ensure all inspection process steps have been fulfilled.
- Ensures inspection data is available and complete. May be required to perform other duties such as First Piece inspections, In-Processes inspections, Receiving inspection functions, or as directed by the Manager of Quality Assurance. May be required to use AOI machines and X-Ray machines (CR Technology – CRX-1000)
- Reports to designated work area prior to the start of shift.
- Organizes work load, and prepares for the start of the shift.
- Inspects material to process documentation and to IPC – 610 /J STD Workmanship criteria.
- Identifies missing or wrong components, solder joints, and poor workmanship issues.
- Interfaces with touch-up personnel to resolve issues.
- Interfaces with production manager on resolution of Quality issues.
- Prepares inspection reports.
- Ensures that work area is kept clean and that safety rules are followed.
- Participates in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement.
Job Skills
- Must have a High School Education.
- Experience utilizing IPC 610/J STD Standard required.
- Experience utilizing IPC 620 and AOI (YesTech) is preferred
- Experience with CR Technology CRX-1000 is preferred.
- Prefer working knowledge of J-STD, IPC 610 & 620. If they have Rework experience, that would be great as well.
- Sitting most of the shift. Must be able to push carts of circuit boards, on occasion lift racks of circuit boards.
